Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to shape the architectural vision for FuzeRx and related platforms. You will lead design across high-volume systems, mentor engineers, and set engineering standards to ensure reliability, security, and scale on AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript.

You will partner with Product Management and Pharmacy Operations to align technical solutions with business goals, while upholding HIPAA and SOC2 compliance and delivering impactful health

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and systems design experience.
• Proven track record of building scalable, high-throughput B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech, digital pharmacy, or regulated environments.
• Strong architectural and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define target architecture for core platforms and high-volume API integrations.
• Mentor staff, senior, and mid-level engineers; foster design reviews and pairing.
• Ensure security-by-design and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, SOC2).
• Improve performance, reduce latency, and optimize PostgreSQL and AWS usage.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Pharmacy Operations to align with business goals.
