Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive the architectural vision across our engineering teams. You will guide the design of scalable, secure health tech platforms, including FuzeRx, using AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript/JavaScript.

You will mentor staff and senior engineers, enforce high engineering standards, and partner with product, operations, and security teams to meet clinical and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive, hands-on software engineering and systems design.
• Extensive background in building and scaling distributed, high-throughput, B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech, Digital Pharmacy, or highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for FuzeRx's core platforms.
• Lead the design and implementation of high-volume API integrations and complex fulfillment logistics.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards across coding, testing, CI/CD, and security by design.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Operations to align architectures with business goals and clinical requirements.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA, SOC2 compliance and data privacy in systems.
