Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an Operations Performance Engineer to support PGA Alkoxylation Glycol Reactors in Freeport, Texas.

You will drive safe, reliable and profitable manufacturing operations by optimizing asset performance and leading continuous improvement efforts across Operations, Maintenance and Technology teams. The role focuses on identifying improvement opportunities, implementing sustainable solutions, and coaching teams through root cause analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant manufacturing/engineering experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work safely in a plant environment and use PPE; training on equipment may be required.
• Must be legally able to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve asset performance by optimizing reliability, throughput, quality, material efficiency and costs.
• Drive production targets and business objectives through operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate operational decisions for site impact and recommend actions to optimize system performance.
• Provide troubleshooting, coaching, and support during routine operations and upsets.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions to improve performance.
• Utilize process knowledge and data to resolve complex plant issues and enhance effectiveness.
• Monitor performance metrics to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Lead capital and expense projects with value case development and successful implementation.
• Close performance and reliability gaps and partner with maintenance to improve asset availability.
