Job summary

Dow Inc. in Freeport, Texas, is seeking an Operations Performance Engineer to drive safe, reliable, and profitable manufacturing operations. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Technology teams to solve challenges, translate improvements into sustainable actions, and optimize asset performance.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical fundamentals with hands-on problem solving in a collaborative environment, driving improvements from identification to implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, or engineering in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work safely in a plant environment and use PPE including harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve asset performance by optimizing reliability, throughput, quality, and costs.
• Drive production targets and business objectives through operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate operational decisions for site impacts and recommend actions to optimize overall performance.
• Provide troubleshooting, coaching, and support during routine operations, outages, and emergencies.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Leverage process expertise and data to resolve complex plant issues and enhance operations.
• Monitor performance metrics to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Lead capital and expense improvement projects and ensure successful implementations.
• Identify gaps, remove constraints, and improve asset availability with Maintenance and Reliability teams.
• Ensure compliance with permits, environmental requirements, and process safety, maintaining a strong field presence.
