Dow Inc. is seeking an Operations Performance Engineer to drive safe, reliable, and profitable manufacturing operations at the Freeport, Texas site. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Technology to translate improvement opportunities into sustainable actions.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, collaboration, and leading root cause investigations to improve asset performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
• 2+ years of manufacturing/operations experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work safely in a plant and use PPE/equipment.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve asset performance by optimizing reliability, throughput, quality, efficiency, and costs.
• Drive production targets and business objectives through operational excellence and CI.
• Evaluate operational decisions for site impacts; recommend actions to optimize system performance.
• Provide troubleshooting and coaching during routine ops, upsets, and emergencies.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Leverage data and SME networks to resolve complex plant issues and improve ops.
• Monitor performance metrics to identify and implement value-improvement opportunities.
• Lead capital/expense projects with technical leadership and solid implementation.
• Close performance gaps with Maintenance and Reliability for asset availability.
• Ensure permits, environmental requirements and process safety with strong field presence.
