Dow Inc. seeks an Operations Performance Engineer to support PGA Alkoxylation Glycol Reactors in Freeport, TX. You will drive safe, reliable, and profitable manufacturing operations by improving asset performance and value creation, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Technology teams.

The role requires a technical engineering background, hands-on problem solving, and a passion for sustainable operational improvements from identification to implementation.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred).
• 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, or industrial engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve asset performance by optimizing reliability, throughput, quality, material efficiency and costs.
• Drive production targets and business objectives through operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate decisions for site and business impact and optimize system performance.
• Provide troubleshooting and coaching during routine operations, upsets, and emergencies.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Leverage process data and SME networks to resolve complex plant issues.
• Monitor performance metrics to identify and implement improvements.
• Lead capital and expense improvement projects and ensure successful implementation.
• Close performance gaps and improve asset availability with Maintenance and Reliability teams.
• Ensure compliance with permits and environmental/process safety systems with a strong field presence.
