Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior piping engineering lead to provide technical direction on complex projects within the Nuclear Power Group. You will oversee calculations, designs, and specifications, ensuring quality and operability across disciplines.

The role emphasizes leadership, client liaison, and adherence to ASME codes, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work three days per week. A strong background in piping analyses and project coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and BPV Section III piping codes.
• Knowledge of pipe supporting elements and piping products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical direction and supervision to project teams.
• Set task schedules and budgets for discipline work.
• Coordinate activities between disciplines and with client.
• Review complex calculations and approve designs.
• Prepare and review system, installation, and material specifications.
• Participate in bid evaluations and change orders.
