Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior Piping Engineer to provide technical direction on nuclear power projects. The role emphasizes evaluating piping systems per ASME codes, overseeing calculations, designs, and specifications, and coordinating cross-discipline activities with a focus on quality and operability.

The position requires a BS/MS in engineering, 10+ years of experience, and a P.E. license, with a hybrid work schedule demanding in-office presence three days per week.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace, or Structural/Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• P.E. license required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Knowledge of pipe supporting elements and piping products.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior level technical direction and supervision to the project team members.
• Establishes project task schedules and budgets.
• Coordinates activities between disciplines and serves as a client liaison.
• Reviews complex calculations and provides technical guidance to team members.
• Reviews and approves system/structural designs and drawings for quality and operability.
• Prepares and reviews major system, installation, and material specifications and bid evaluations.
