Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a senior Piping Engineer to lead technical direction on complex piping evaluations for nuclear projects. You will supervise the project team, review calculations, and ensure designs meet quality and operability expectations.

The role is based on a hybrid schedule with in-office work 3 days per week. Requires 20+ years of piping experience, a P.E. license, ABET-accredited degree, and deep ASME code knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• P.E. license is required.
• 20+ years of relevant piping experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Knowledge of pipe supporting elements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers provide technical direction and supervise the project team.
• Review complex calculations and approve simpler ones.
• Review and approve system/structural designs for quality and operability.
• Perform engineering review of drawings and coordinate design interfaces.
• Prepare and review major specifications, vendor submittals, and bid evaluations.
