Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior piping engineer in our Nuclear Power Group. The role involves performing and reviewing complex calculations and designs for piping systems in accordance with ASME codes, with emphasis on reliability and safety. Hybrid work schedule requires in-office presence three days per week.

Requires 5+ years of experience, a mechanical engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, and strong communication skills to interface with project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field as ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in piping engineering.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Knowledge of pipe supporting elements and piping products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex calculations and designs.
• Develop single-discipline input for designs and proposals.
• Prepare equipment specifications and material specifications.
• Review and produce reports to meet client requirements.
• Manage project budgets and schedules to stay within scope.
