Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to provide technical direction and supervise the project team on piping design and analysis within the Nuclear Power Group. You will ensure compliance with ASME codes, coordinate cross-discipline tasks, and lead reviews of calculations and drawings.
The role offers a hybrid work arrangement (three days in office, two remote) with relocation support depending on location. A P.E.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited program with emphasis in solid mechanics, structural analysis, and finite element analysis.
- P.E. license
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME BPV Section III piping codes
- Knowledge of pipe supporting elements design and application
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, speak, write)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Review complex calculations and provide technical guidance to project team.
- Review and approve system/structural designs and ensure quality and operability.
- Perform engineering review of drawings and coordinate interface between design and engineering.
- Prepare and review major system, installation, and material specifications.
- Prepare bid evaluations and participate in vendor negotiations.
- Prepare and review single-discipline and multi-discipline reports.
