Intuit seeks a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to serve as a senior payroll tax expert and SME on a team resolving complex state and federal notices, corrections, and amendments. The role blends technical tax resolution with leadership, mentoring, and process improvement.

You will own the most challenging cases, file amended returns across multiple states, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to SOPs and knowledge base updates while coaching colleagues to strengthen the

Competenze

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notice types and penalties.
• Experience preparing and approving amended Federal (Form 941-X, W-2c) and State payroll tax returns across all states, including complex local requirements.
• Strong knowledge of federal payroll tax law: FICA, FUTA, FITW, and related schedules.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred; CPP certification or EA differentiator.

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices from intake to closure.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (941-X, state equivalents) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors across pay periods and jurisdictions; trace discrepancies and drive correction workflows.
• Maintain high productivity resolving Corrections, Amendments, and Notices with high accuracy.
• Coach and mentor Senior Payroll Tax Processors; lead knowledge transfer and training.
