Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to act as a senior SME on a team handling end-to-end resolution of payroll tax issues, including notices, corrections, and amendments.

You will own the most complex cases, mentor others, and drive process improvements while not running payroll. The role emphasizes tax defect resolution, amended return preparation (Form 941-X, W-2c), and cross-functional collaboration across Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notices and ability to draft penalty abatement requests with supporting docs.
• Experience preparing and approving amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c).
• Lead, coach, and train junior staff on complex resolution scenarios.

Responsabilités

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices end-to-end across multiple states and scenarios.
• Prepare and file amended federal and state payroll tax returns across 10+ states.
• Diagnose and fix payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods and jurisdictions.
• Coach team members and share resolution processes to build capability.
