SelectTime employees provide virtual expert services to Intuit customers, working year-round with flexible hours. This Lead Tax Processor role offers technical leadership, coaching, and governance of SOPs and KBs.

You will resolve the most complex tax issues and manage escalations while ensuring audit trails and compliance across states. You will own coaching, team performance boards, and WIP oversight, with the option to work 20–40 hours weekly as an hourly, non-exempt employee eligible for

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution and multi-state filings.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or training junior staff as a SME or lead.
• Deep knowledge of US tax payment and filing rules and state programs.
• Excellent writing skills to author SOPs and technical documents.
• Demonstrated ownership of SLAs and proactive workflow issue resolution.
• Strong problem-solving with data-backed recommendations.
• 5+ years in high-volume contact center or back-office operations.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary real-time technical expert for TP1/TP2/TP3 staff.
• Author, review, and approve SOPs and KB articles.
• Conduct quarterly coaching sessions to close skill gaps.
• Lead team huddles and stand-ups as needed.
• Oversee WIP, backlog, and aging reports; advise staffing.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices across states and jurisdictions.
• Approve complex amended Federal and State returns with audit trails.
• Identify trends and communicate compliance risks with data.
• Represent the team in cross-functional meetings and advise on risk.
