Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and SME for Payroll Tax Operations. This technical leadership role owns complex escalations, SOP approvals, and team coaching to build capacity across TP1–TP3 staff.

You will drive high-stakes tax resolutions and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring audit trails and compliance. The role supports flexible, virtual hours with overtime eligibility; you will mentor staff, manage WIP and aging metrics, and push for continuous improvement using AI

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years payroll tax experience focusing on complex tax issues and multi-state filings.
• Experience as a lead, senior specialist, or SME with coaching or training junior staff.
• Expert knowledge of tax regulations across US jurisdictions, including local and state programs.
• Strong writing skills for SOPs and technical documents.
• Experience owning SLAs and proactive resolution of workflow barriers.
• 5+ years handling highly sensitive escalations independently.
• Experience in contact center or back-office operations with high-volume needs.
• Comfort with using AI tools to improve workflows.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the primary real-time technical expert for TP1, TP2, and TP3 staff and mentor teams.
• Own authoring, review, and approval of SOPs and KB articles across core operations.
• Conduct structured coaching sessions at least quarterly to close skill gaps.
• Lead or participate in team huddles, QA sessions, and Daily Stand-Ups backups.
• Manage team WIP, backlog reduction, and aging reports; advise staffing adjustments.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices across states and IRS discrepancies.
• Approve complex amended Federal (941-X, W-2c) and State returns with audit trails.
• Identify trends and risks; communicate with data-driven recommendations.
• Represent the team in cross-functional meetings with compliance focus.
