Intuit is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and Subject Matter Expert to drive complex payroll tax resolutions, govern SOPs, and coach the team. You will own high-stakes escalations, ensure audit trails, and guide process improvements across TP1-TP3 operations.

This role with SelectTime offers flexible hours (minimum 20 hours/week, up to 40) and overtime eligibility in a virtual, remote-capable setting across the United States.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution, notice response, and multi-state filings.
• Experience as lead/senior specialist/SME with coaching or training juniors.
• Expert knowledge of tax payments and filings across US jurisdictions, incl. local and state programs.
• Advanced writing for SOPs and technical tax docs.
• Ownership of SLAs and proactive issue resolution.
• Validation-first mindset with proactive, vetted solutions.
• 5+ years handling highly sensitive escalations independently.
• Experience in contact center, customer service, or back-office operations.
• Comfort with using AI tools to improve team workflows.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 staff and teach resolution paths.
• Own authoring, review, and approval of SOPs and KB articles.
• Conduct quarterly coaching sessions to close skill gaps.
• Lead or support team huddles, QA, and stand-up facilitation.
• Oversee WIP, backlog, and aging reports; advise staffing to management.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices, including IRS/state discrepancies.
• Approve complex amended Federal and State returns with audit trails.
• Identify trends and risks; communicate data-driven recommendations.
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings with a focus on compliance.
