Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and SME to drive complex payroll tax resolutions and governance of SOPs. The role requires deep tax know-how across US jurisdictions and leadership to coach and elevate the team’s capabilities.

You will own critical escalations, oversee SOP/KL content, and participate in cross-functional risk reviews, while leveraging AI tools to streamline tasks and continuously improve workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution, notice response, and multi-state filings.
• Experience as lead/SME with coaching or training junior staff.
• Expert knowledge of tax payment and filing regulations across US jurisdictions, incl. local and state programs.
• Advanced writing skills for SOPs/technical documents for a tax processor audience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary real-time go-to technical expert for TP1, TP2, and TP3 staff.
• Author, review, and approve SOPs and KB articles.
• Provide quarterly structured coaching sessions to close skill gaps.
• Lead or support team huddles, QA sessions, and daily stand-ups as backup facilitator.
