Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to replace a departing team member and maintain essential payroll operations.

You will process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for thousands of employees, ensure timely and accurate outputs, and handle inquiries from employees and management with discretion. The role requires 3–5 years in payroll/finance, multi-state experience, and an emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of payroll/finance experience.
• Multi-state payroll processing experience required.
• FPC and/or CPP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Input data to payroll systems for weekly and semi-monthly payrolls, update earnings and deductions, and run pre-payroll audits.
• Complete payroll processing including wage/overtime calculations, deductions, off-cycle payments, and recovery of overpayments.
• Answer employees and management questions via email/phone; ensure policy compliance.
• Audit earnings/deductions totals, correct out-of-balance outputs, and prepare special reports.
• Perform routine admin tasks, maintain records, and manage information using a case management tool.
• Audit field-submitted payroll data for accuracy and confidentiality.
