Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to replace a resigning employee. The role ensures timely and accurate payroll processing for 5,000–7,000 employees across multiple states and maintains confidentiality of data.

Responsibilities include data input, wage calculations, deductions, off-cycle payments, and internal audits. Spanish bilingual preference is noted, with a supportive team environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in payroll and/or finance, accounting, or related field.
• Multi-state payroll processing experience required.
• FPC and/or CPP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inputs data to computerized payroll systems to prepare weekly and semi-monthly payroll and updates earnings/deductions.
• Computes wage/overtime, deductions, and requests for off-cycle payments; handles overpayments and repayment agreements.
• Responds to complex payroll questions from employees and management via email/phone.
• Audits earnings/deductions, reviews system output, corrects out-of-balance conditions, and prepares reports.
• Audits payroll information submitted by the field for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee and company data.
