Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to maintain staffing for critical payroll operations and ensure timely payroll processing.

The role handles data entry, audits, and multi-state payroll processing with confidentiality and strong customer service focus. Responsibilities include processing weekly to semi-monthly payrolls, addressing employee inquiries, and maintaining payroll records while adhering to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of payroll/finance experience required.
• Multi-state payroll processing experience required.
• FPC and/or CPP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inputs data into payroll systems to prepare weekly and biweekly payrolls with earnings and deductions.
• Runs pre-payroll audit reports to ensure accuracy of payroll output.
• Computes wages, overtime, deductions and processes off-cycle payments.
• Answers payroll questions from employees and management via email and phone.
• Audits earnings and deductions totals and prepares reports for management.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee and company data.
• Processes payroll for 5,000–7,000 employees across multiple states.
