Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Sales Solutions Engineer Manager to blend technical mastery with sales acumen, delivering innovative payment solutions for issuers, networks, and partners across the U.S. You will lead technical discovery, design tailored architectures, and enable the sales team to win complex deals.

In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, present at workshops, create technical guides, and ensure seamless integration with wallet platforms and token

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically, a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in payments or fintech solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical consulting, or solution architecture.
• Proven experience supporting issuers, processors, payment networks, token services, or digital-wallet integrations, including participation in a wallet-enablement, card-digitization, tokenization, or provisioning program.
• Strong knowledge of payment tokenization, issuer-to-wallet provisioning, identity and verification (ID&V), token assurance, and token lifecycle management, including activation, suspension, reissue, device changes, and fraud scenarios.
• Working knowledge of EMV standards, NFC and contactless payment standards, cardholder verification, dynamic cryptograms, authorization flows, terminal certification, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with APIs, SDKs, cloud platforms, ecommerce integrations, and scalable payment-solution architecture.
• Understanding of U.S. payments regulation and security requirements, including PCI DSS, data protection, AML, KYC, and sanctions compliance.
• Strong customer-facing, sales, leadership, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex payment technology for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with internal teams, partners, issuers, networks, processors, merchants, and vendors.
• Partners with sales to identify opportunities and provide technical expertise to win business.
• Designs tailored client payment solutions leveraging knowledge of networks, wallets, and gateways.
• Leads technical discovery and solution design for issuers and card portfolios in digital wallets.
• Explains tokenization, provisioning flows, and interactions with PSPs and token service providers.
• Develops and presents payment solutions that integrate with ecommerce and the Paze wallet.
• Delivers technical presentations, workshops, architecture reviews, and demonstrations.
• Creates documentation and proposals for client use cases.
• Monitors alignment of sales solutions engineering objectives with business goals.
