Howard University, through its Talent Acquisition team, seeks a dedicated Patient Services role to support patients, staff and medical faculty at the Faculty Practice Plan. You will help manage appointments, insurance verification, and front-office processes with a focus on service quality.

You will train junior staff, oversee scheduling policies, and coordinate with clinicians and departments to improve patient experience and financial performance while upholding university standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required with 2–4 years of general work experience; AA/AS may substitute for 4 years of experience; BA/BS may substitute for up to 4 years experience.

Responsabilités

• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure timely access.
• AssistProviders/Cost Center Members with completion of super bills and related documentation.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect time-of-service payments and co-pays.
• Train and supervise Patient Service Representatives on assigned duties.
• Deliver excellent customer service and address patient concerns with effective resolutions.
• Maintain sign-in sheets and reconcile fee tickets; ensure policy adherence across the department.
• Coordinate with multiple departments and external partners to support clinical operations.
