Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth is seeking a Level II Patient Scheduler responsible for pre-registering and scheduling patients for a wide range of services. You will handle incoming calls, process follow-up and referrals, and communicate with care teams to ensure timely, courteous patient experiences.

The role involves explaining cost estimates and coordinating multi-line scheduling across services, with a future move to hybrid/remote work.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical healthcare experience OR 1 year experience as a Patient Scheduler I OR 1 year experience in a contact/call center.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers and schedules patients for appointments, procedures, tests, and other services.
• Answers incoming calls, completes follow-up and referral work queues, and ticket scheduling.
• Communicates with patient care teams to ensure efficient care.
• Completes patient checkout and schedules follow-up appointments.
• Provides patients with cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming appointments.
• Schedules services for patients across Essentia Health and handles data entry into the EHR.
• Supports population management and ACO initiatives through patient registry and outbound calls.
