Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Level I Patient Scheduler to pre-register and schedule patients for appointments, tests, and procedures across multiple service lines. You will handle inbound calls, verify insurance, update guarantor information, and provide cost estimates and itineraries.

You will work as part of a care team, ensure accurate data entry into the electronic health record, and support patient care through timely, courteous service.

Qualifications

• Proficient in scheduling multiple service lines within the same market.
• Cross-training to provide coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Patient identification, registration, and scheduling with estimates and documentation.
• Full pre-registration including guarantor info and insurance eligibility.
• Coordinate scheduling of services including ancillary and procedure scheduling.
• Handle calls, follow-up and referral queues, and ticket scheduling.
• Enter data accurately into the electronic health record while speaking with patients.
• Work as part of a care team to deliver excellent customer service and outcomes.
