Job summary

Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Senior Patient Access Representative to act as a liaison among patients, families, physicians and medical staff. You will coordinate scheduling, review orders, and allocate resources for procedures while supporting front desk operations.

The role requires a high school diploma (post-secondary education helpful), knowledge of medical terminology, and prior customer service experience; EMR experience and strong computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education helpful.
• Six months' customer service experience desired.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; customer service skills essential.
• Prior EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaises between patients, families, physicians and staff to coordinate care.
• Reviews procedure orders and schedules resources for procedures/surgeries.
• Manages provider schedules and supports front desk activities.
• May train and mentor new employees and assist with EMR use.
