Job summary

Sanford Health in Sioux Falls seeks a Patient Access Representative to deliver exceptional service as the first contact for patients, creating a welcoming and accurate registration experience, by phone or in person.

You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, coordinate referrals and scheduling, arrange interpreter services, and support front-desk operations across clinics. Expect to handle chart prep and Telemed coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education helpful.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting; medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• Six months' customer service experience desired; BLS may be required for certain locations/settings.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, verify demographics and collect signatures.
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals, pre-authorization, and interpreter services.
• Check in/out patients and operate multi-line phone.
• Prepare and organize charts; coordinate Telemed appointments; manage recall and patient communications.
• May resolve registration queue issues and assist with financial arrangements.
