Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Business Development Manager II to acquire new accounts and drive revenue in North America. You will execute on leads from marketing, identify prospects, reach decision makers, and arrange meetings to assess customer needs.

You will lead negotiations, foster relationships with new customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to commercialize and onboard opportunities, with travel up to 60% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 3+ years relevant experience in technical, sales and general management, preferably within the packaging industry.
• Experience in working in a large-scale business-to-business environment.
• Ability to travel domestically & internationally 60% of time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver revenue growth, generate profit, and create customer engagement from direct penetration of new accounts.
• Prospect for new customers and drive new business opportunities aligned with Amcor portfolio, handling 5-10 leads at once.
• Understand market trends and work to promote new products and gain exposure within target markets.
• Identify contacts, manage cold calls, and create relationships with customers with moderate supervision.
• Orchestrate and support key business negotiations, supporting Amcor's interests demonstrating an ability to influence decision and actions.
• Foster and develop initial business relationships with new customers / prospects' key contacts based upon trust and respect.
• Build and leverage cross-functional relationships to support the creation of business development strategies as well as support the commercialization and onboarding process with other key areas.
• Network externally to become familiar with key influencers and collaborators within the industry with a specific focus on co-packers, machine suppliers, OEMs, industry associations.
