Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to lead testing, commissioning, validation, and operational integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. This role requires strong technical leadership, field mentoring, and adherence to utility standards and POWERX commissioning philosophy.

You will oversee relay testing across multiple platforms, coordinate with clients and operations, and ensure safe energization and handover.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in high-voltage protection & control testing and commissioning.
• Experience with multiple relay platforms and station protection schemes.
• Familiarity with NEC/IEEE standards and NETA practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, commissioning, validation of protection and control systems.
• Coordinate field execution with engineering, construction and client operations.
• Develop test plans, energization plans and JHAs for energized substations up to 500kV.
• Document results and ensure turnover packages meet client requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold safety, quality, and schedule commitments.
