Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to lead testing, commissioning, validation, and operational integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will serve as a technical leader and mentor, ensuring safe, reliable operation and adherence to utility standards and POWERX commissioning philosophy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in high‑voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Experience with major relay platforms (SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation across substations.
• Perform and oversee relay protection testing using listed platforms.
• Validate protection and control systems including line, transformer, bus, feeder, and communication‑assisted protection schemes.
• Execute end‑to‑end testing and operational verification of SCADA, RTUs, IEC 61850 networks, and related systems.
• Mentor Test Engineers and coordinate field execution with project teams.
• Ensure testing aligns with utility standards and client commissioning requirements.
