Job summary
POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to lead testing, commissioning, validation, and integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will mentor junior engineers, ensure safe operation, and deliver complete system validation for relay protection, SCADA, and IEC 61850 networks.
Responsibilities include planning, isolation, energization, and turnover, while aligning with IEEE guidance and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years in high-voltage protection & control testing and commissioning.
- Experience with relay platforms (SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse).
Responsibilities
- Lead advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and verification for protection & control systems.
- Oversee relay protection testing using multiple platform tools.
- Validate complete protection and control systems across substations.
- Develop test, energization, and HPI plans; ensure safety and compliance.
- Mentor Test Engineers and coordinate with client operations.
