Job summary

POWERX seeks a P&C Lead Test Engineer to lead testing, commissioning, validation, and integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will mentor engineers, ensure safety, and deliver complete system validation from planning through energization and turnover.

You will oversee testing of relay protection, SCADA integration, IEC 61850 networks, and associated communications, with emphasis on system-level verification and operational

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of high-voltage protection & control testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience with SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse or equivalent relay platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or technical field; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational validation at substations.
• Develop test, isolation, energization, and JHA plans; ensure safety and accuracy.
• Coordinate field execution with project teams and clients; document results.
• Mentor Test Engineers and maintain client-ready commissioning records.
