Job summary

POWERX Co is seeking a P&C Senior Test Engineer to lead independent testing, commissioning, and validation across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will work with minimal supervision, applying system-level understanding of protection testing and mentoring junior engineers toward leadership roles.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Lead on complex configurations, SCADA integration, and ensuring compliance with IEEE and client standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in high-voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Experience commissioning substations from 12.5kV through 765kV preferred.
• Experience with relay platforms such as SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute relay protection testing using standard test sets.
• Test and validate protection elements (line, transformer, bus, feeder, breakers).
• Perform CT/PT testing including ratio, polarity and timing checks.
• Interpret relay logic, phasors, event reports and oscillography to identify anomalies.
