Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to direct testing, commissioning, validation, and integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will ensure safe, reliable operation and deliverables per utility standards and POWERX philosophy.

The role requires leadership under pressure, deep knowledge of relay logic and testing platforms, and the ability to mentor a team while coordinating with clients and operations personnel

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in high-voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Experience with SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse, or equivalent relay platforms.
• Familiarity with NERC CIP requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation across substations.
• Develop and execute test plans, isolation plans, energization plans, and commissioning procedures.
• Mentor Test Engineers in field execution and system understanding.
