Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Senior Test Engineer to independently execute testing, commissioning, and validation across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. The role requires working with protection systems, relay logic, CT/VT theory, and field interfaces while mentoring junior staff.

The position supports greenfield and brownfield projects, including SCADA integration, breaker controls, and bus protection up to 765kV, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance with industry

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in high-voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Experience commissioning substations from 12.5kV through 765kV preferred.
• Familiarity with relay platforms such as SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute relay protection testing using dedicated test platforms.
• Test and validate protection elements including line, transformer, bus, feeder, and breaker schemes.
• Perform CT/PT testing and timing checks with proper pass/fail documentation.
• Interpret relay logic and event reports to identify anomalies and communicate findings.
