Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician for Texas and Louisiana project locations.

You will perform testing and commissioning for Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations, using Omicron and Doble test sets, and document field activities with digital tools. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in electrical testing, deep knowledge of relays and switchgear, and the ability to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electrical testing, HV equipment experience preferred.
• Experience with protective relays, circuit breakers, and substation testing.
• Proficiency with field data collection and logging.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and work on demanding field sites.
• Must hold valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning on Protection and Control systems in HV substations.
• Conduct on-site relay testing using test sets (Omicron, Doble).
• Document site activities with field forms and mobile tools.
• Support field teams and mentor junior technicians when needed.
• Maintain logs, photos, and labels with attention to detail.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance on all sites.
