Job summary

WSP USA seeks an experienced POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician for project locations in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. You will perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems in high voltage substations and support field teams with hands-on relay testing using Omicron and Doble equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior technicians and collaborating with project leads

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with protective relays and HV testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning tasks for Protection and Control at high voltage substations.
• Conduct on-site protective relay testing using test sets such as Omicron CMC 256/356 or Doble F6150.
• Document site activities using field forms and digital tools.
• Support project supervision and mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
