Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician for projects in the Western United States, including Arizona. You will perform high-voltage protection and control testing on substations, using Omicron and Doble test sets, and document activities with field forms on active sites.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in electrical testing, HV/EHV experience, and proficiency with relays, testing software, and safety standards; travel up to 80% is

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in electrical testing industry including MV/HV breakers, transformers, protection and controls testing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of transmission, generation, distribution relays and protective schemes.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection and control testing on high voltage substations.
• Conduct on-site relay testing with Omicron/Doble test sets.
• Document site activities using field forms and mobile tools.
• Support project lead and field supervisor on projects.
• Maintain logs, photos, and digital reports with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with technicians to maintain safety and quality.
