Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician Field Services for Texas and Louisiana. You will lead field operations for complex projects, performing testing and commissioning of protection and control systems on high voltage substations, and mentor field teams while coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and clients.

Ideal candidates have 11+ years in electrical testing, strong relay expertise, and experience with Omicron/Doble test equipment.

Qualifications

• 11+ years in electrical testing industry with HV experience.
• Expertise in transmission, generation, or distribution relays.
• Advanced relay testing and calibration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations with expert technical guidance on projects.
• Support day-to-day site activities and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate with engineers, scientists, and subcontractors.
• Mentor technicians and manage site logistics.
• Lead field crews and ensure safety and quality across work streams.
• Serve as primary field liaison with clients and vendors.
• Document progress, data, and reports per project standards.
