Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician to support projects across multiple states. You will perform protection and control testing on high voltage substations, use Omicron/Doble test equipment, document findings, and collaborate with field teams to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 7+ years of electrical testing experience, and willingness to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years in electrical testing, high/medium voltage equipment.
• Expertise with protective relays and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of IEEE/NETA/NFPA standards and safety practices.
• Experience with field data documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning on protection and control systems for high-voltage substations.
• Conduct on-site relay testing with Omicron/Doble equipment and document results.
• Support field teams, mentor junior technicians, and ensure safety and compliance.
• Escalate issues to site lead and maintain logs and field reports.
• Coordinate with project team and monitor subcontractor activities as needed.
