Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician for multiple locations in the U.S. You will lead field operations, perform protection and control testing on high voltage substations, and mentor junior staff.

Strong focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction drives daily activities. You will coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, manage field logistics, and ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements while leveraging tools like

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
11+ years in electrical testing including HV circuit breakers and substations.
Experience with protective relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE) and relay testing.

Responsibilities

Lead field operations for complex projects with expert technical guidance and hands-on execution.
Coordinate with engineers, scientists, and subcontractors to deliver tasks safely and efficiently.
Mentor technicians and manage site logistics while communicating risks to project leadership.
Perform testing and commissioning of protection and control systems on substations.
Lead field readiness planning, safety protocols, and quality control across work streams.
