Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization Experi­enced P&C Field Services Technician for project locations across the U.S. This role focuses on testing and commissioning high voltage substations, protection and control relays, and data documentation in a field setting.

You will work with the PTE Team, mentor junior technicians, support field teams, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering quality results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years in electrical testing, including HV equipment and protective relays.
• Experience with IEEE, NETA, NFPA standards and field safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning for Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
• On-site relay testing using Omicron Doble test sets; test SEL, GE, and others.
• Document site activities with field forms and mobile apps.
• Assist project leads and monitor safety and quality on site.
• Escalate complex issues to field leadership and maintain logs and reports.
