WSP USA is seeking a Field Services Engineer/Technician to inspect, test, and troubleshoot moderately complex electrical systems up to high voltage. You will learn test instruments, support protection testing, and gain knowledge of electrical components and systems.

The role covers Florida or the Carolinas with fieldwork across the region, requiring strong safety and communication skills. The ideal candidate will perform on-site testing for protection and control on HV substations, document

Qualificações

• 7+ years in electrical testing including HV circuit breakers, transformers, and substation testing.
• Experience with protective relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE families) and testing schemes.
• Familiarity with IEEE, NFPA, NETA standards and field testing practices.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and review test results.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and work outdoors in demanding environments.

Responsabilidades

• Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems on HV substations.
• Conduct on-site relay testing using Omicron and Doble test sets; document results.
• Utilize field forms and mobile tools to record activities and logs.
• Support project leads, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety compliance on sites.
• Collaborate with contractors and engineers to maintain quality and schedule.
