WPS Health Solutions in the United States seeks a Senior Overpayment Recovery Specialist to guide the Overpayment Recovery Team, manage workflow, and coordinate department activities. The role involves advising employees, supporting complex issue resolution, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, preparing operations reports, auditing work, and assisting with audits while maintaining privacy and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Two or more years Medicare Financial/Overpayment Recovery experience.
• Knowledge of Overpayment Recovery Regulations and related procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for mentoring staff.
• Ability to train new employees and support team development.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with workload monitoring and timely handling.
• Mentor new employees and provide process training.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operations reports (Recovery Audit related).
• Interpret regulations and develop/revise work instructions and manuals.
• Research and respond to complex Overpayment Recovery cases.
• Perform audits and quality reviews of unit work.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes (OMB-A123, SSAE-16, ISO).
• Ensure process consistency with manuals and instructions; report system issues.
• Ensure compliance with Privacy Act, HIPAA, and confidentiality requirements.
• Provide backup across related roles.
