Job summary

WPS Health Solutions in the United States is seeking a Senior Overpayment Recovery Specialist to support the Overpayment Recovery Team with work direction, workflow, inventory, and coordination of activities within the department.

You will mentor staff, prepare operations reports, interpret regulations, conduct audits, and assist with complex overpayment cases while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and CMS requirements. Remote work options are available for approved states.

Qualifications

• Two or more years Medicare Financial/Overpayment Recovery experience or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Overpayment Recovery Regulations and audits.
• Ability to interpret regulations and apply to manuals and guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication for mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with monitoring workload inventories for timely handling.
• Mentor new employees and provide process training.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operations reports related to Recovery Audit.
• Interpret regulations and develop/update work instructions and manuals.
• Research and respond to complex Overpayment Recovery cases and conduct audits.
