Job summary

WPS is seeking a Senior Overpayment Recovery Specialist to guide the Overpayment Recovery Team through workflow, inventory, and process coordination. You will mentor staff and support resolution of complex issues to ensure accurate recovery outcomes.

The role emphasizes auditing, regulatory interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration. Remote work is available in approved states, with initial training and CT-based production hours, and a starting base salary of $24.00/hr alongside strong

Qualifications

• Two or more years Medicare Financial/Overpayment Recovery experience.
• Knowledge of Overpayment Recovery Regulations and HIGLAS system.
• Ability to interpret regulations and apply to manuals and guidelines.
• Experience with internal/external audit procedures and quality reviews.
• Strong communication skills for mentoring staff and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with monitoring department workload inventories and escalation.
• Mentor new employees and provide process training.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operations reports for Recovery Audit activities.
• Interpret regulations and develop/update work instructions.
• Research complex Overpayment Recovery cases and respond.
• Participate in internal and external audit processes.
