Job summary

WPS, a health solutions company, seeks a Senior Overpayment Recovery Specialist to guide the Overpayment Recovery Team through workload management, training, and issue resolution. You will support audits, ensure compliance with regulations, and help resolve complex recovery cases.

This role offers remote work in approved states and requires strong communication and mentoring skills, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement within the Medicare recovery framework.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Medicare Financial/Overpayment Recovery experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for mentoring staff and documenting procedures.
• Experience interpreting regulations and applying them to manuals and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with monitoring and escalating department workload inventories.
• Mentor new employees and provide process training.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operations reports (Recovery Audit related).
• Assist with interpretation of regulations and development of work instructions.
• Research and respond to complex Overpayment Recovery cases.
• Participate in internal and external audit processes and ensure process consistency.
