Builders FirstSource in Georgia seeks a results-driven sales professional to represent the company with large, complex customers. You will translate customer needs into tailored products and services and collaborate with inside teams to develop compelling proposals.

The role emphasizes leadership and coaching, with potential to step in as Sales Manager in the manager’s absence. You will plan professional demonstrations and drive new business while maintaining strategic relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or related field; two years sales experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company during the sales process by collecting data on customer needs and design specifications, and acting as a liaison between inside technical/design staff and customer in developing sales proposals.
• Develops sales contracts for a wide range of projects by collecting specification information from the client’s engineer or architect of record and conveying needs to technical staff and management.
• Troubleshoots field issues which may be difficult to resolve or are complex in nature.
• Effectively plans and conducts sales presentations for current and prospective customers; designs professional demonstrations of products and services.
• Researches, identifies and solicits new customers; generates sales opportunities through research on client needs and competition.
• Continuously updates customers on products and services and explains how they meet requirements.
• Participates in leadership roles, such as chairing meetings during absence and helping train less experienced staff.
• May provide training to outside sales reps
• Prepares reports and documentation for management.
• Attends training to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Plans and paces own work to meet productivity goals.
• Observes safety procedures; may suggest improvements.
• Carries out other duties as assigned.
