Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an experienced Outside Sales professional to drive growth with residential, multi-family and commercial projects. You will gather client needs, develop tailored proposals and present solutions to win new business.

The role emphasizes leadership in training junior reps, coordinating with design staff, and delivering compelling product demonstrations to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or related field plus two years sales experience.
• Experience handling complex customer requirements.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company during the sales process by collecting data on customer needs and design specifications.
• Develops sales contracts for a wide range of projects by collecting specification information and conveying needs.
• Troubleshoots field issues that are complex or difficult to resolve.
• Plans and conducts sales presentations and demonstrates products to meet customer needs.
• Researches, identifies and solicits new customers; generates opportunities.
• Updates customers on products and services and explains benefits.
• Participates in leadership duties and may train less experienced Outside Sales Reps.
• Prepares recurring and special reports and documentation for management.
