Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking an experienced outside sales professional to represent the company with complex customers and drive contracts across residential, multi-family and commercial projects.

You will collect client requirements, coordinate with engineering and design staff, and develop compelling sales proposals. Travel will be required, and you may assume leadership duties in the Sales Manager’s absence while training junior reps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or related field, plus two years prior sales experience.
• Ability to develop sales contracts and proposals for residential, multi-family and commercial projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company during the sales process by collecting data on customer needs and design specifications.
• Develops sales contracts for a wide range of projects by conveying needs to technical staff and management.
• Troubleshoots field issues which may be difficult to resolve or highly complex.
• Plans and conducts sales presentations and designs demonstrations of products and services.
• Researches and solicits new customers and generates sales opportunities.
• Continuously updates customers on products and services and explains benefits.
• Leads or participates in training and development of less experienced outside sales reps.
