Job summary

GFiber seeks a Senior Outside Plant Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain the fiber plant across the distribution network. You will diagnose service-impacting issues from the central office to customer premises and work with partners to build expertise.

Travel up to 10% and non-standard hours may be required. Candidates should have FTTH/GPON experience and a valid driver’s license, with strong vendor coordination skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years FTTH/GPON network construction and deployment experience.
• 3+ years fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and power meter use.
• 3+ years vendor/contractor relationship management.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain GFiber outside plant (OSP) to ensure service.
• Diagnose root causes from central office to customer premises equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners to build expertise and coverage.
• Travel domestically up to 10% and support non-standard hours as needed.
• Assist with network installation alongside field teams and crews.
